The NHS is struggling to cope with coronavirus, and they aren’t getting the PPE they need to keep them safe.

Doctors are being asked to buy their own equipment, and hospitals are even asking for handmade face masks to be donated.

Work has stopped for most people in construction. Can the industry help out by donating PPE?

Face mask donations

Are you able to donate any respiratory protective equipment (RPE)? Hospitals need N95 or FFP3 RPE in the form of:

  • Disposable masks
  • Half-face respirators
  • Full-face respirators

Other PPE

The NHS are also in desperate need of:

  • Disposable gloves
  • Shoe-covers
  • Face-shields/goggles
  • Disinfection wipes and liquids
  • General-purpose hand cleaners
  • Disposable head covers
  • Disposable gowns
  • Coveralls/scrubs

If you have anything not listed which you think might be suitable, please get in touch (ppedonations@handshq.com) and we can figure that out.

How to donate

Please email us (ppedonations@handshq.com) and let us know what you can donate, the quantities, and your location.

Delivering to hospitals

A number of the HANDS HQ team have volunteered to help with the logistics, including delivery to hospitals in and around London.

We will need help getting deliveries to hospitals in other regions. If you are able to help with this, please let us know (ppedonations@handshq.com).

Note: We are not working for or on behalf of the NHS – we aren’t affiliated with them or any hospitals in any way. We also aren’t a charity, but just trying to do our bit. Everything donated is going to those working for the NHS.
